我创作的大型挂毯在历史背景下展开，但在规划和制作过程中，我使用了新的数字工具。我的所有作品都介于具象与抽象、现实与幻觉之间。我常以系列形式创作，并承接特定场地的委托作品，通过织机的视觉与实际建构来探索主题和理念。

       从摄影作品出发，我将图像转化为纺织表面，色彩与材料在其中起着重要作用。挑战在于如何将内容融入技法，将材料的质感呈现于表面，既营造出强烈的触感，又具备智性的深度。

 

I work with large tapestries in a historical context, but I am using new digital tools both in planning and production. All my works place themselves between representation and abstraction, reality and illusion. I work in series and with site specific commission, where theme and idea are explored through construction, both visually and factually in the loom.

With a starting point from a photography, I transform my images to textile surfaces, where colour and material are significant.

The challenge is always to bring content to the technique and materiality to the surface, to create a strong tactile presence which at the same time has an intellectual dimension.

       卡里·迪尔达尔（Kari Dyrdal，挪威）是一位纺织艺术家，以其巨型壁挂闻名，她在文化传统的手工织造技艺和经过精细研究的数字化生产之间展现出双重的精通。迪尔达尔的创作实践深入探讨记忆，通过图案、重复和结构来表达她对美学与文化遗产的思想。

       迪尔达尔现任教于卑尔根大学艺术、音乐与设计学院。她的作品曾在奥斯陆国家博物馆、卑尔根KODE/西挪威工艺美术博物馆、波士顿美术馆等展出。

 

Kari Dyrdal is a textile artist, known for monumental tapestries that exhibit a dual mastery of the cultural tradition of hand weaving alongside an intricately researched digital production. Dyrdal’s practice involves a deep investigation of memory, incorporating pattern, repetition and structure as expressions of her ideas on aesthetics and cultural heritage. 

Drydal serves as a professor in the Faculty of Art, Music and Design at the University of Bergen. Her work has been exhibited at the National Museum, Oslo, the KODE/Vestlandske Kunstindustrimuseum, Bergen, and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, among others.
