FOREWORD
In the Golden Autumn of October, the Sculpture and Public Art School of the China Academy of Art(CAA), in collaboration with the Contemporary Fiber Art Institute of CAA, will officially launch the "International Platform of Fiber Art".
The platform aims to bridge academic teaching and the international fiber art community, inviting artists and scholars from diverse cultural backgrounds to share their artistic concepts, practical experiences, and latest research findings. This open platform will serve as a space for students, artists, and fiber art enthusiasts to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and explore new possibilities for understanding and creating fiber art.
In rapidly evolving contemporary art environment, fiber art, as an unique form, not only embraces traditional techniques such as weaving and embroidery but is also being transformed by modern technology and new materials. The artistic thinking, expressive power, and professional perspectives that emerge from this process are gaining increasing attention and recognition.
By launching the "International Platform of Fiber Art," we warmly welcome fiber art researchers and practitioners from around the world to participate in flexible academic activities such as lectures, workshops, and forums. Each div will allow participating artists and scholars to freely design their content and share in diverse formats - ranging from theoretical discussions to technical practices, from artistic ideas to material media... we encourage participants to engage in discussions, bringing up questions, and exchanging ideas. It will foster deeper understanding and appreciation of fiber art and allow more people to experience the depth and beauty of fiber art.
The "International Platform of Fiber Art, CAA" will be a constellation of brilliant minds, inspiring creativity and sparking dialogue. We look forward to your attention and participation!
